>Is Nikon F2 an AI body? If not, how does it meter?

F2 bodies came in black or chrome (with a rare titanium, and
an even rarer high-speed-motor version alternatives). The
differences are in the viewfinders, of which there were MANY!
Some had no meter (standard prism, waist-level VF, sportsfinder);
some were non-AI (but would take AI lenses - and the meter would
hook up to those with the "prong" at f5.6, or do stop-down
metering with lenses without the "prong"); some (with an "A" in
the name, as in F2A or F2AS) were AI, but could meter non-AI
lenses in stop-down mode.
Hope This Helps
