I rate E1600 normally at 800 (normal processing). I have not tried this
with the newer PJC version, but the older PPC version could be exposed at speeds down to about 200 with no change in development - prints looked identical, except for improved shadow openness when shot at lower speeds.
I am not as happy with the newer version as with the older. (WHEN will
manufacturers stop "improving" products [often the reverse!], and leave
a good product on the market?!) I may be switching to Fuji 800, soon...
(which is normally rated at 800).
