The 70-210E and 80-200 f4 AIS (there is no 70-210 AIS...) are similarly excellent (good wide open at all FL's and focus distances). The "E"
lenses were generally excellent, with the 36-72 and 35 being decent but
not outstanding, and the 28 was a loser, in my not so humble opinion...
BTW, the 75-150 was amazingly good - one zoom that could equal the best
primes in sharpness by f8.
