I don't know if you can use IDE drives in your set-up, but if so,
the IBM Deskstar 8 and 14-gig UDMA drives work fine and are
relatively cheap... (the UDMA feature does not need to be activated,
since it is the minimum sustained data transfer rate that is important with
mini-DV, since the data stream is relatively constant and an easy one
to capture/play).
