Early FireWire software could be a bit touchy about the order of
events...;-) I recommend always turning the camcorder on before
opening DV-Deck, and closing DV-Deck before turning the camera off.
If things get confused, try rebooting with the camcorder off, turn
it on, then open DV-Deck...
