It is pixelated...;-)
It is a digital medium - though one reason for going
to three chippers is to produce a smoother-looking picture,
though even among these, the Mini-DV picture will show
problems under common conditions (and some, like the
GL-1, will show them worse than others, like the VX-1000).
Blowing the images up onto a very sharp and large display
will "magnify" both the good and the bad in these
images...;-)
