Yes. You will see color, sharpness, exposure, and aliasing
differences, and maybe also gain (grain) differences. This
does not mean that you cannot do this - I have edited three
3(different)-camera shoots this year using Premiere 5.1a.
With a good set-up, it is practical to match up reasonably
well the image and sound from different cameras - it just
takes a little practice matching the picture and sound
characteristics, judgement about what is practical, and
render time...

Hmmm...
The image quality from the best 3-chip cameras can be good
enough to use, if shot with care...; the image quality from
lesser 3-chip cameras and the better 1-chip cameras can be
cut in successfully if used in brief segments; and with good
shooting and editing technique (and good enough EQ'ing), you
may even be able to use footage from D8, Hi-8, lesser DV
1-chippers, etc. - the answer to your question really
depends on your skills, your standards, and your
salesmanship...! ;-)
