Hi--
I read your depressing DV report....
I have been capturing DV from a Sony 3-chip camcorder
quite successfully, then editing, and returning it
to the camcorder as a master. The process is not without
its foibles and frustrations, but it works on a K-6 200,
ATX Abit, 96-meg EDO, Spark-2940UW, dual 9-gig IBM SCSI-II
7200rpm equiped computer... DV editing does work (though
some operations need to be done manually...). BTW, setting
audio interleave numbers for both input and output is
critical (4-frame in Spark, 2-frame in Premier for my
set-up works...). Holler if you have any questions...;-)
