I just started using it a few days ago, so keep that in mind...
It seems to work very well in terms of quality of input/output,
BUT it is exceedingly annoying when it comes to out-putting a
file back to tape (it tends to drop DV connection rather often
and easily, and it can be hard to reestablish the DV connection
without Spark software lockup, requiring C-A-D software shutdown
[and sometimes a Win '95 reboot] to continue...). Aaarrrrgggh!
(This is the most recent version...) I am still a DV enthusiast,
though (even with 4-hour rendering times for a 30-second clip
with multiple effects applied...!), due to the quality of the
output. And so far I have noticed no ill effects on the
finished tape from taking footage into the computer and back
out again to DV tape... (pretty remarkable!).
Hope This Helps
