The VX-2000 (and VX-1000, TRV-900) have a useful
AE-A mode - you select the aperture (whole and
partial stops, though not continuously variable),
the camera adjusts the shutter speed and gain to
compensate (with AE-bias available), with built-in
ND filter(s) to limit the shutter speeds needed
to ones that minimize strobing. More awkward to
use: the exposure lock-and-shift button and wheel
(manual exposure, with awkward control of the
variables...)
