I have used Azden lavaliers a few times, both as mono mics, and
as stereo pairs (with two transmitters and receivers, set to the
two different available frequencies) - and I've used them both on
mic stands and clipped to people. So far, they have been quiet
and reliable. The Azden lavalier mics sound OK on a mic stand,
but somewhat "thick" attached to people (sound EQ can be used to
improve the sound quality, though...). Altogether, I'm pleased
with these (especially in view of the price), and they have
served as an excellent alternative to on-camera shotgun mics
and to the camcorder's excellent built-in mic (VX-1000).
