The VX2000/PD150/TRV900 AE-bias control is different,
offering considerable range (in 1/2 stop increments) on
both the under and over exposure side of "normal". I
prefer "-1" for most exterior work with Sony cameras,
and "0" for most interior AE work with these, but
special conditions can lead one to use other settings
("day-for-night", snow, shooting toward lights,
shooting very dark subjects, etc.) and it is nice to
have this easily-adjusted AE control. With the Sony
one-chippers, I'm forced to resort to finding a
program mode that slightly underexposes for exteriors
("spotlight" usually serves) for "correct" AE
exposurefor my taste, but for other corrections I'm
forced to use "lock-and-shift" manual, not very
handy for quick shooting in varying light with these
little cameras, though OK for set-up shots...
