There was an early AE accessory for a few F2 heads consisting of a
motor to move the aperture ring of the lens (!), a battery pack, and the necessary contacts for electrically integrating it with the meter head.

Yes - it is a great screen with longer lenses, being very sharp, since it
has a ground surface only (no Fresnel lens added [the thing that has those
fine concentric lines...]), but being very dark on the edges and corners
with normal to short lenses (down to about 35mm, it is OK, but with wider
lenses, the edge darkness is unacceptable). It does not affect
center-weighted meters.
