I can see the justification IF you often have a need for the f1.4 stop...
Otherwise, I would save my money (I have not tried the 85mm f1.4 AF
Nikkor, but I have tried the f1.8, and it is so good [as are the other
Nikkor 85's of any speed and age] that I would not think it possible
for the AF 1.4 to be noticeably better... BTW, I own both the 85mm f1.4
and 85 f2 MF Nikkors, and rarely carry the heavier, bigger f1.4, good
as it is (the f2 is equally good, but noticeably smaller and lighter).
