In addition to D. Jacobson's comments, there is an important one
for me: the spot meter in the 8008S causes the "center-weighted"
pattern to be a doughnut instead of a circle for the meter coverage
(not the best for how I prefer to meter [assembling a representative
collection of subject brightness elements in the fairly well defined large circle marked in the finder - kinda hard when the circle is a
doughnut!]).
