Since I do not use the AF or AE features of the newer bodies (or
spot metering), I prefer the 8008 to the 8008s - the meter patch
in the 8008 is roughly equal to the large circle in the VF, and
uniformly sensitive across the patch (making manual metering easy),
whereas the "center-weighted" patch in the 8008s is dead in the
center (making manual metering less sure), probably to accomodate
the spot metering of the 8008s.
