I have never tried the TC14E, since the TC14/14B/14C are so good,
and it, like the TC20E, would need a slight modification to fit non-I/S
lenses. The TC20E was interesting since it has a much shorter
extension into the lens it is mounted on, and will fit (when modified)
on some lenses the TC300/301 won't, like the 80-200 f2.8... To
modify the TC-E converters, it is necessary to remove the front
bayonette and grind off a small bayonette-wing extension that
prevents the mounting of non-I/S lenses. My guess is that the
TC14E would be optically good on the zoom, and worth modifying
it to fit if you already have it, and not the TC14/14B/14C...
Hope This Helps
