I bought 2 of these (goll-durn, who could resist?! ;-), which arrived
in fine shape (not mint, but they were not stated as being in mint
condition...). I mounted one on a lens board for my Besseler enlarger,
and made a print with it at 5X (optimum, and larger sizes showed barrel
distortion [there was none at 5X]) from a 35mm negative at f2 (!!!).
Image quality in the 5x7 B & W print equalled my normal high-quality
enlarging lens (used at f8) everywhere but near the corners. I am not
sure what to do with the lens, but it seems to be a fine flat-field
lens at 1:5 magnification, even at very wide apertures.... (good for
printing very dense negatives, shooting very dark subjects with slow
film, or ???). If nothing else, this is an interesting lens at a low
price.
Hope This Helps
