It is more where the difference occurs that is
important... It is right around the average interior
home light level, which means that exposure (and color
and "grain") will be OK near a lamp, but poor slightly
removed, making interior shooting more difficult and
uneven in quality than it could be with a slightly
better low-light range (4-5 lux, in "Sony-speak"...).
BTW, I compared in various light levels several Sony
Mini-DV *imaging types*, at:
www.David-Ruether-Photography.com/camcorder--comparison.htm
(compare the PC9 and PC100 or TRV30 low-light
images...).
