The 400 Kodak Elite and Fuji 400 slide films I tried were closer
to 320 in speed, grainy, fairly sharp, with good color and too
much contrast - the technology has a ways to go, alas... Above
100 ASA, there is not a lot of choice - the 200-speed slide
films aren't very nice (except for Ektachrome 200 Pro, but
sharpness isn't very good - and Kodachrome 200, but it is
grainy and a bit contrasty) - Sensia/Provia 100 pushed to
200 is good, when the high contrast is OK. I guess if one
needs 400 (or so...) speed, the Kodak and Fuji entries are
about equal and the best, if disappointing....
Hope This Helps
