The Canon XL-1 (not cheap...) can accept Canon 35mm-format
lenses with an available adapter - but the effective FL is many
times what it is for 35mm, ruling this out for any
but "long" lenses (even the 7.5mm fisheye becomes a tele
on the XL-1...).
