Careful perusal of my Nikkor evaluation list (on my web page
under "I babble"...;-) will reveal that they are optically
the same (as is the non-AI version), and excellent. Though
for most purposes AIS = AI, the later lens generally brings
a higher price. BTW, I have a 35mm f1.4 AIS that looks like
new (and has the box, etc. - but needs re-lubing) I've been
thinking of selling for an outrageously high price... (tests
well, though...;-).
