Maybe not - The aspheric 35-105 AF (or AF-D), is a different design
from the earlier Nikkor AF or MF version. BTW, don't avoid the
earlier design (it is really excellent), just be sure to check it
out, and return it if it is not excellent - it is still one of my
favorite lenses (compact, sharp and contrasty), and the only
variable aperture zoom I will put up with (or up with which I will
put :<).
