I was refering to the MF 35-105mm, a very different design from the
AF aspheric, which I have not tried. Check out "SUBJECTIVE Lens
Evaluations (Mostly Nikkors)" on rec.photo.misc (less than 150
entries back at this point, I think) or at (go to "NIKON"):
