It is a good lens, with even performance through the zoom range,
unusually good resistence to flare (diffuse light spill, not
repeated diaphram image reflections) for a zoom, reasonably
controlled distortion, etc. Though I would not put it in the
top class of Nikkors, it is a very good, solid performer - with
very few reservations about its use.
