You may find my Nikkor evaluation list, and a few reviews, on
my web page under "I babble" amusing...;-) While I think John
Shaw is a first-rate photographer and writer, I sometimes
disagree with his gear recommendations (as with MP's
recomendations, too...), at least for technically first-rate quality
of results (yes, one CAN use marginal gear to take good
photographs, but......;-). I did not like either the 28-200 or the
70-300 Nikkors, but I can see their value for those who may
value characteristics other than first-rate optical performance...
