No, but I was not using the very-contrasty Velvia, and I would not willingly use ANY 24mm wider than f5.6, and certainly not a zoom! ;-) Wides are easier to hand-hold at slow speeds, so I would choose f11 at 1/30th at 24mm over any alternative combination in the same light with this, or even with the prime 24mmm Nikkor... Stick with f8-11-16 with this zoom, and results should be excellent.
