I don't think there are any design optical differences
among the various AF versions and the AIS version
of the Nikkor 24mm f2.8... And, I don't find it
unusually problematic for flare among very wide
lenses, though its short shade does offer needed
protection from just-out-of-frame light sources
(the 20mm f2.8 needs the shade less...).
