Hmmm, sure don't recognize that as a description of the
24-120 I tried... (which had good contrast and looked snappy
with normal-contrast slide materials - and the linear distortion
throughout was low [and unusually low at the short end for a
zoom]). Must be that Nikon makes a low-grade version for
the European market, huh...? ;-) I sold mine, but only
because I prefer primes for wide-aperture use - the
24-120 was one of the very few good wide-to-tele
zooms that I have seen [out of a big bunch]).
