They are similar in angle of view and they are both excellent
optically. I prefer the AIS (MF) versions of both for their
better look and feel. There are slight differences optically:
the 20 is a bit sharper at the edges/corners near infinity-focus
at stops smaller than about f5.6; and the 20 is less sensitive
to out-of-frame light sources (I don't use a shade with the 20,
but I consider it necessary with the 24). I prefer the 20mm
"view" and optics, though the 20 is slightly larger and somewhat
more expensive than the 24. BTW, you may want to look at my
