It is a first-rate lens optically (its only shortcoming is a softening
wide-open near minimum focus distance) - crisp and clean to
the corners even wide open (with the exception above...).
It is also VERY small and reasonably fast, and it works well
with converters. BTW, excellent but cheaper Nikkor alternatives
are the older-version (AI'd) 135mm f2.8 and the E-Series 135mm
f2.8. Also BTW, you can find Nikkor evaluations on my web page,
