I assume this is the MF version? If so, several samples of this lens
that I have used (very minor sample-to-sample variation) show this
to be an unusually sharp and contrasty lens at f2 (center-to-corner)
from about 10' to infinity, with a very slight field curvature near
infinity that spoils its use for aerial photography at apertures much
wider than f4, unfortunately (f2.8 is pretty good in aerials, unless
you know what to look for). Toward minimum focus, quality worsens
at wide apertures, and is unacceptable at minimum focus much wider
than about f5.6 (portrait lens, anyone?). For most purposes,
this lens is SHARP! Just don't use it for macro. Hope this helps.
