Hmmm..., where to start...? If you don't care if the lens is AF or MF,
for great infinity performance it is hard to beat the 105mm f2.8 MF
Micro, with the 105mm f2.5 AI-AIS a close second. The 105mm AF is too
hard to focus near infinity, and often shows slight optical misalignments near infinity. The 60mm f2.8 is down-right poor near
infinity, unless well stopped down. For distances around 5-6 feet, the
105mm f2.5 is poor at wide apertures, with the others being really
excellent. In the macro range, the 60mm is the best (though awkwardly
short in focal-length [but it does work well with converters]),
followed by the 105mm AF, then the still excellent 105mm MF Micro
(stopped down some), with the 105mm f2.5 AI-AIS (on tubes) a VERY distant and poor last. I have not used the 105mm f2 DC, so cannot comment on it. The 105mm f1.8 MF is excellent, with performance similar to, but just a tad behind, the 105mm f2.5.
Hope This Helps
