Wa-a-a-llll...., I dunno which ones it beats, 'cept MAYBE the f1.8 at
f2.8... Good as the later-version 105mm f2.5 is, the other Nikkor
105's are either VERY close, or (in the case of the 105mm f2.8
AIS MF Micro-Nikkor), slightly ahead... The 105mm f2.5 is somewhat
softer near its minumum focus at wide apertures, so it MAY be
preferable for that reason for portraits...
