and you will find I gave it a very high rating - it
is one of the best 100-105mm lenses at infinity-focus,
and better than the 105mm f2.5 around 4-5' at wide
stops. Only the MF 105 Micro-Nikkor gives it a real
challenge, since that lens is excellent at both
infinity-focus and around 4-5' wide-open (and it is
good much closer, too...). The 100mm f2.8 E was/is
a "steal"...
