You have two of the better Nikkor zooms already, and the 100-300mm f5.6
will not disappoint you in image quality (it is sharp everywhere, and it is unusual in having slight barrel distortion at the short end which disappears about 135mm, and distortion remains near 0 all the way to 300mm). The lens
may be too slow for your purposes, though.
