It is an excellent zoom - sharp to the corners at all stops, FLs and
distances, and it is unusually free of linear distortion (slight
barrel below 135mm, none at longer FLs - quite unusual!). Negatives:
physically long but without a tripod socket, the lens is somewhat
slower than its slow rating of f5.6, and it is not great on converters.
