vs. 1-CCD megapixel-type... The "device" is a
comparison of all the Sony Mini-DV *imaging-types*.
Read the comments - the most obvious effects are
often with motion, and the stills don't show these
well... Briefly: ***IN GENERAL*** (there are
notable exceptions - see

for more - not all one-chippers or 3-choppers were
created equal...;-), 3-CCDs get you better
sharpness, better color, better picture smoothness,
better highlight and shadow detail-rendering, and
greater low-light range, in larger and more
expensive packages... The price is worth it, though,
for the better image (and generally, also sound)
quality, though these are not perfect, and good
1-chippers are not unusable...
