Than it is unusual - most camcorders, when they drop
the shutter speed below 1/60th, appear to throw out
alternate scan lines and double the remaining ones,
reducing vertical resolution by a factor of two and
increasing the stepping-size on contrasty diagonal
edges by a factor of two. For the resulting gain
reduction in low light, this can be a reasonable
trade-off, but it is generally not without noticeable
visual "cost" in image quality for most shooting
conditions...
