This results in reduced vertical resulution (only
1/2 the scan lines are used) and greater "jaggies"
on contrasty edges (for the same reason). (I use the
slow speeds only to improve color quality in low
light...) I guess I will never understand the
desire to make video look worse in order to simulate
the shortcomings of a different medium...;-)
