Can there be such a thing as (truly) objective lens
reviews? Testing a lens effectively "objectively"
would involve a VERY large number of tests, with
conflicting standards, so at some point, "subjectivity"
*must* enter, or there will be no "resolution" of the
testing, or the results will be too complex to
"read"...;-) And the "meaningful" objective" results,
if obtainable at all, may not correlate well with what
one sees when just taking a picture and looking at the
results...;-) The brain is a great integrator of
multiple variables, and the subjective judgement of
image quality may just prove more generally useful
than incomplete or imbalanced "objective" testing...
BTW, for "subjective" lens evaluations, see:

reviews at: www.David-Ruether-Photography.com/articles.html.
