Yes -
it is OK stopped down a bit. BTW, the Nikkor 16mm f3.5
is really
excellent on the TC14A - it is a favorite WA for me when
its
optimum f5.6 (f8 effective) stop can be used. Teleconverters can
be used
on any lenses they physically fit, with some combinations
being
good, some not - and for small-stop high-magnification macro
work, I
find them VERY useful...
