Hi--
Most
tele converters are VERY poor. Almost all will
also
vignette as you zoom wider. The only good teleconverter
I have
seen is a 1.7X "HG" Sony 0758. It is large and expensive.
Any 2x
and over (I have a couple of 2x and a 3x) tends to be soft
at the
edges, with considerable color-fringing. A good monocular
can be
acceptable with lenses with suitably-small front elements, but
this is
not true for most video lenses...
