I have used the Sony eyecup originally supplied with the

VX1000 on other cameras - I think it is still available

for about $30. It doesn't fit perfectly, but it is usable

with many cameras with smallish rectangular eyepiece

surrounds with flanges at the outer edges - though using

it does seriously increase the size of the camera...
