(The
direct URL for images of this eyepiece are at:
http://www.bealecorner.com/trv900/pics/eyepc.jpg.)
It
looks like it fits well, it but adds very little to the width of the
eyepiece
(but maybe enough to help), and it looks like it may
force
glasses away from the 900's eyepiece. The VX1000
eyecup
forces a "wave" in the bottom of the 900 eyepiece
rubber,
but it does not interfer with glasses use, and it provides
a much
broader light-shield (though it does noticeably
increase
the camcorder's effective overall size, a consideration
for
packing). BTW, at the tail end of this page (URL below)
is a
photo of a similar-sized eyecup (the one for the VX2000,
though
this one in some ways is not as good as the one for the
VX1000)
that you can use to get an idea of its size and rough
shape
(the VX1000 eyecup is thinner and smoother in form,
and it
does not have the air-circulation problems of the
VX2000
eyecup that I solved by punching holes in it [don't
you
love "improvements" in newer models...??? ;-]) and in
photos
above it you can get some idea of its relative size
compared
with a VX2000:
