Good luck with the sale - this is not easy!

The time-lapse should be of about equal resolution (or better). You

can run the video to a computer, and with some editing software,

have time-lapse capture. Alternatives: use a camcorder's still

feature (to memory card), with a Lanc controller operated at

the desired interval to take the stills; use a still digital camera

and import the images into a computer; use a film camera and

scan the resulting images (the last was done to record a 1 per

month still of a multi-year construction of a large radio telescope,

since at the time this was the most practical method we had

available).

You can find some good used 3-CCD camcorders available

 here: www.nikonlinks.com/ruether/fs-misc-video-audio.htm.

You may have done some research on the question

you asked (though it did not appear so from

your original post, and I have some good options

FS within your stated price range - and I offered

non-video camera suggestions I could not supply

as possible solutions to you), but others often have

never run across ANY of my materials on video, hard

as that may be for you [or me...! ;-] to believe...;-)

I get annoyed by repeated posts on other things on

these NGs, but evidently many people have not seen

the commonly posted responses to such things as

differences between TV and computer displays,

differences between USB and FireWire capture, etc.,

so the repeated info can be useful, bugged as I

may be that the questioners have not done basic

research. For you, I pointed you to several

solutions to your question, and one of those I

could provide, thus providing you a service.

Some people do complain, though, about 'most

anything, free or not...;-)
