You have a sufficient computer now - we still use some

of these P-III or Celeron 450s and they are quite adequate.

You also have enough RAM, though I would recommend adding a

largish HD, to be used exclusively for video files (these

are cheap). You will also need a FireWire card (very cheap

these days...). Some MPEG2 encoding software is slow, and

if you use this, a faster computer can be useful...
