All Mini-DV camcorders will play back in slow-motion (one speed),

and this can be FireWire captured to computer or copied to another

camera (no sound). You can also use various utilities while editing...

Smoothing can be done by copying the slowed clip and pasting the

copy on an overlay track at 50% transparency, one frame out of

synch (subsequent sharpening may be useful...).
