You are
taking a high-quality 720x480 (if NTSC) image and writing it
to a
low-quality medium... How does the camera image look to you
viewed
directly on the TV? Of course the image will look better
properly
written to DVD (with relatively low compression, 1-hour max
per
disk), though not as good as the original...
