Export
the last frame as a still, import it, place it on the timeline
at the
end of the clip, stretch it out the length of the effect you want,
apply
B&W filter and key-frame it to go from no effect to max
(you
can use the saturation filter instead...), apply brightness and
contrast
filter and keyframe it to go from no effect (where the B&W
shift
is complete) to black (or just apply a dissolve transition [to black]
to the
second part of the still-clip...).
